The service
A dilemma is published every day at 00:00 Istanbul time and stays open for voting for twenty-four hours; users pick one of two options and the results are shown on a live world map. Members who have voted can write their reasons, and read and like the reasons of others. Closed dilemmas remain on the archive page. The service is free and contains advertising.
Your account
You sign in with your Google account and no separate password is created; the security of your account depends on the security of your Google account.
Voting with more than one account as the same person is not allowed.
Voting rules
One vote per account per dilemma, and a vote cannot be taken back once cast.
Trying to influence the counts with automated tools, scripts or multiple accounts is prohibited. Votes cast this way may be deleted and access may be revoked.
Comment rules
To write a comment you must first have voted on that dilemma and picked a username. One comment can be written per dilemma, and comments are at most 280 characters.
Comments are reviewed before publication. Insults, profanity, hate speech, sharing of personal data, advertising, spam and off-topic content are not published. We reserve the right to reject a comment without stating a reason; a rejection does not mean an opinion was judged right or wrong.
You may not choose a username that impersonates another person or an organisation, or that suggests you represent VersusEcho.
By having a comment approved you grant us the right to publish it, show it on the site, keep it in the archive, and share it with your username on VersusEcho's social media accounts as part of the highlights. This use ends when you withdraw your comment.
Attempting to influence the like system with multiple accounts or automated tools is prohibited.
Prohibited use
Overloading the service with requests, attempting to bypass security measures, scraping data in bulk without permission, or using the service for any unlawful purpose is prohibited.
Content and rights
The dilemma texts, interface design and code belong to VersusEcho.
The content of your comment belongs to you; the licence above does not transfer that ownership.
You may share aggregate results that contain no identity (such as country percentages) with attribution.
Advertising
Ads are served through Google AdSense. Ad content is determined by Google and does not reflect the views of VersusEcho.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is"; uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
The dilemmas are for entertainment. The results are not a scientific poll, a representative study or professional advice.
Account closure
In case of a breach of these terms, your access may be restricted without prior notice.
To delete your account, write to the address at the bottom of this page; your votes, comments and likes are deleted along with the account.
Changes
These terms may change; the current version is always published on this page and the date at the top is refreshed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
